Vivoactive HR - "update failed, try again from Garmin Connect"

My watch seems to be stuck on trying to update itself.. According to GC, I have the newest software installed (version 4.0), I have trying restoring defaults, resetting the watch, connected it both to Garmin Connect and Garmin Connect Mobile in order to update the software, nothing works. I cannot use the watch anymore because I get the error message every few minutes. Anyone who had this problem and was able to fix it?
