Cannot "Remove Device"

I recently upgraded from a Fenix 3 to a Fenix 5. When I try to "remove the device" (Fenix 3) in Garmin Express devices I get a "cannot remove device" in red text at the top of the page? Anybody else having this issue? Does anyone else know how to solve it? It doesn't show up in Garmin Connect or Garmin Connect mobile but is still there as a device in Garmin Express along with my other current devices (Forerunner ###, Nuvi, Oregon ###)? Any thoughts?
