How to up down load a .fit file

Where or how to down load a .fit file from connect to up load to starva? When I google how to do it the instructions tell me to highlight the activity and click of the gear icon, but there is no gear icon to click on?

To export an activity or wellness data file in Garmin Connect:

Sign in to your Garmin Connect account
Click Arrow Icon in the upper left corner to expand the Navigation Bar (if it not already expanded)
Click Activities
Click All Activities (Steps for Wellness Data)
Select the Activity you would like to export
Click the (Gear) in the top right corner
Select the format you would like*
Save the file

step 5. Open the activity you would like to export
step 6. Click on the (Gear) in the top right corner as can be seen in this pic circled in red.

Yeah I am using a Mac with safari and there still is no gear icon

if I hover the mouse over it it i get a trash can or Edit activity metrics

That is because you fail to perform step 5.

That neither selects nor opens the activity. Please try again (and do something different).

Hover the mouse over the activity you want to fix and then CLICK ON IT to open it.

For Step 5 I am clicking on it and it turns blue and no other option come up for me to do anything with itciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1276994.jpg

You need to click on the name of the activity - Lawrence Cycling - in order to "open" the activity to see the details of it. The name is the link to open it.

But I am clicking on it. thats why its blue. I have tried doubling clickng on any of the activities and nothing happens

In my browser it looks like this. And as stated, the title is a link to the details of the activity. Are you sure there is no link with the name?ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1279565.jpg
