Maps not loading

For the past week, my maps of my walk/run activities have not been showing up in Garmin Connect. Anyone else having this issue?

    Yes. I uploaded a ride yesterday and have the same result as you on GC. However, the map shows in the same activity in the GC app on my Android phone and also on Strava (linked to GC). In addition to the map not showing on my desktop GC, the "Gear" icon is not there nor the edit "pencil". The same issues that showed yesterday are still there today.

    This is not something that I am seeing with my activities.

    Can you provide the following:

    What browser are you using?
    Does signing out/clearing the cache change anything
    Link to an activity?

    I just uploaded today's ride from my Forerunner 305. Here's what I got. The activity loads correctly and shows in my list of Activities - no problem there at all. However, when I click on the activity to see the details page, yesterday there was no map, no "gear" icon, no edit "pencil". Today, the activity appeared in the Activities list correctly again but the details page only showed the "box" for the map (no map, same as yesterday) and that was all - the blue circle indicating the computer was grinding away on something, like it was trying to load the details, never stopped.

    This is a desktop PC, Windows 8.1, IE 11 (Version 11.0.9600.18838). Signing out and clearing the cache does not correct the missing map/info on the activity detail page.

    And I should mention that both yesterday and today, the activity summary details appear normally, except there is no map, in the Activity window in the Dashboard.

    Also, the activity details are carried forward correctly/normally to my GC links to Strava and Training Peaks.

    The problem appears to be map not loading and activity details page has missing/no info.
  • Curiously...try using Chrome or Firefox - do you get the map/activity to load then ? GC loads the home page just fine for me, but the moment I click the latest activity (on my GC home page), or going to an activity in the calendar a) does not show a preview map and b) I just see a blue donut when attempting to load the activity. I am running Win10 with IE11. Cleared cache/cookies, even reset IE to default settings and rebooted - still does not load. Using Chrome, works perfectly.

    Browser: IE 11
    Signing in/out and back in again does nothing ~ including shutting down my computer and restarting a day later.
    The Activity links seem to work it's just that it appears that the connection between the activity page and the data have been broken - like it can't find the data that goes with that activity.


    FYI: I've been getting the same thing (pic's below). All of my activities show up in Stava (GPS route, pace and cadence info) but nothing on Connect. This goes for "any" activity that I've posted on GC, even year old stuff.

    Pictures: The first image is off the GC main page, below the running stats you can see that there's no GPS route. The next pic is off of the Activities page, those stats are there so Connect is somehow seeing the activity stats. The third image is all I see when I try to view that (or any) singular activity. It's nothing but a gray screen and it'll be that way for hours if you let it go that long.

    Oddly enough, Strava has no problem displaying everything.

    Yup, same issue today, as reported previously on this thread (and the same as zig06 is experiencing). I know Windows did an update this week - I logged into my desktop and had to restart to "finish the update" that had happened the previous night. Maybe something to do with the issue?

    Further, I tried to look back at previous activities: click on "Activities" in the Dashboard menu; click on an individual activity loaded in October to bring up the detail page for that activity; result - no data, no map (just the map border), no activity name - nothing on the activity detail page. Hope someone is looking at this. "Garmin-Joey"?
  • I am experiencing the exact same problem. Activities with details including map displayed with the Garmin Connect app on mobile phone. The same for Strava. For PC (Windows 10) I have the list of activities but if I click on the link it will not open or show the map. Never had this issue before. Help will be much appreciated.
  • Windows 10, Internet Explorer11 (version 11.726.15063.0) and Connect (version 4.1.0.10)

    Experiencing the same problem; the activities list showing all of my activities works fine but when I click on an individual activity to view that activity map and additional data all you get is a blank screen (no map or data) just a blue circle like the computer is trying to search for the information and link but cannot

    Everything does work in the Microsoft Edge Browser
  • Thanks rhilde2001, I managed to resolve the issue. Microsoft Internet Explorer seems to be the problem, works 100% with Edge or Chrome. My default browser was set for Internet Explorer for Garmin Express. I have changed to Chrome and all good. Many thanks!!
