I went a week without using my watch - a Forerunner 235 - as I was away, and had left it at home.
When I got home, I routinely recharged it, and I think it had a software update, but I may be wrong. I mention that because it might be relevant .
The problem is that it is no longer recording sleep properly.
It used to be that the watch would frequently pick the wrong time period, and decide I was sleeping when I was just watching TV. This even though I have my "normal" sleep period set as 0:00 to 08:00. However, I would simply go into and change the sleep and wake time to approximately what they should be, see my movement appear on the chart, and then readjust accordingly. I found this annoying, but after a little fiddle, I would have my total sleep, light sleep, deep sleep, wake visible and recorded.
Now, this is what happens. The watch shows my "sleep period" as (for example) 4pm to 10pm , with no graph. I go in and edit the sleep and wake times as before, and it accepts it. But it shows nothing on the graph except a flat line and "Sleep Time Manually Entered".
So it seems I now have a choice - I can either have a completely incorrect period recorded as sleep, or I can correct it and have no detail. As someone with sleep apneoa, I rely on my watch as an easy way to monitor my sleep day to day, and I'm rather annoyed that it has changed how it works.
Anyone else see this? Any suggestions? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1273818.png
