This change has me about to move to FitBit. The VivoSmart is very accurate and other than seldom recording intensity minutes (a known issue) I like it. But the magic and utility of these devices is ALL about the information they collect. In this, Garmin was not the best but was OK with the classic view that had the pie charts which gave context right up front. Yes, the new display allows you to drill down and get to the charted data, but it takes effort to do so and now they are scattered. Garmin unilaterally took away the utility and I've been shocked that they did not even give the option to select the more useful older presentation. I'm going to give them a bit to see if they change this but will be gone if they don't.
The most important stat that I looked at most was active calories burned which is now buried deep in the menu. They need to either have an option to go back or bring up all of the front page stats that people want to see.
I'm still not sure whether you guys are talking about 'recent' changes to the look and feel of Garmin Connect online (as of version 3.19 and later) in a Web browser app running on your mobile handsets, or classic-versus-modern views in Garmin Connect online, or just the Garmin Connect Mobile apps going from version 3.x to 4.x.
If it's about the Garmin Connect Mobile app for Android devices, surely it's possible to find an APK for an earlier version of the app and just install that on your handsets, to "switch back to classic view"?
