Sets and reps for Strength training

I think that it would be appropriate to have the ability to choose between the current format time/rest and a new feature sets/reps because most of the conventional strength training is done in sets and reps. It's not a big deal but it should be easy to do by the Garmin team.
  • That would be a great idea. The watch doesn't make it easy during a workout to track weight/activity while it's counting reps and trying to enter each set into the Garmin Connect app afterwards is a major headache. Having the option of entering sets/reps would be a lot more convenient, efficient and it would match the way most people workout.

  • Old topic but in case someone sees this anyway.

You can create a workout in the Connect site then send it to your device. Go to Connect>training>create workout. You can set it up for duration of x amount of reps then add a step. The step would be your sets. Once you have it the way you want to workout, select send to device. Start workout on watch (mine is the Instinct). For the step in the plan just push the appropriate button. Sometimes I need adjust the reps if they didn't get counted right.
