My Garmin Vivoactive HR has just started playing up, has worked perfectly for 6 months, now each swim it does not seem to count the lengths right? Ive cleaned it but still no joy.....any ideas?? It normally is 100% accurate, now its dropping 2 or 3 lengths each swim.....im lap swimming in a pool.
The device counts "changes in acceleration." For steady swimming, that means the push off at turns. Make sure you push off forcefully, and then glide before taking a stroke. You can also try taking your first stroke with your non-watch arm, or putting the watch on your other wrist. On the watch side, you can try soft and hard resets.
