Adding Gear to different Profiles

Hi
I know you can have Garmin connect add say a bike to all new Cycling activities, but I wonder if it can say add one bike to Road Cycling and another to Mountain bike activities
I change the profile on my Garmin 1030 according to ride ie Road or Mountain biking.
I can't be alone in wanting this feature?

Was there an answer to this? Want my mountain bike to be the default for a mountain bike profile while my road by the default for road cycling

Still no such option, if you have a lot of activities you can make a script, same thread: How to affect an equipment to an activity ?.

In a script you would use ifs like this:

if(act['activityType']['typeKey'] === 'mountain_biking')

if(act['activityType']['typeKey'] === 'road_biking')
