Garmin 935 bluetooth syncing issues

Garmin Device: 935
Phone: Honor 8 (Bluetooth BT 4.2 BLE)

Initial Pairing: paired, synced, took ~30 minutes to actually sync

Current Issue:
my phone says it is connected to the watch, and my watch says it is connected to the phone
Syncing from watch: I hit "sync" on the watch and it says "searching for WiFi networks" and won't sync via bluetooth.
Syncing from the phone: I hit the sync key on the phone since it says it is connected, and it spins for 10-20 seconds and then stops, and has the same display of sync.


I have tried to delete Garmin connect off my phone and then redownload, and I have restarted my watch, neither work.

    I have problem connecting my iphone 7 and garmin fenix 5 sapphire.....I already tried everything but still cannot connect... Please advice
