Heart Rate from more than one device

On Saturday I took the plunge and upgraded my Fenix 3 to a Fenix 5. All seems to be working fine and I'm happy with the watch so far.

On Sunday I went on a ~7 hour bike ride using my Edge 810 and a standard HR chest strap leaving the Fenix 5 at home. What I was hoping to see when I got back was integration of the two HR measurements in GC. What I saw was just the reading from the Fenix 5 with a 7 hour hole in the middle (see attachments).

Now when I had the Fenix 3 (not HR) I would see the ride (Edge 810) heart rate in the heart rate dashboard. Now I only see the Fenix 5 HR. As Garmin has both of the measurements I should be seeing the two measurement amalgamated? Also the same is happening in the connect mobile app.

If I can piggyback here, I was about to post a new thread asking about having two Garmin devices connected. I just ordered a VivoActive 3 and I have an Edge 520 for cycling as well as the Garmin HRM. I suspect I'll see the same issues. From which device will Garmin Connect compile data? Will it prioritize one over the other?

I found another thread discussing multiple devices. It was from 2016 and suggested that Garmin was going to update Connect so you could have one device (such as the Edge 520) push ride data to a second device (such as a Garmin watch) that was the primary fitness tracker. Has this happened yet?
