Garmin Connect Mobile freezing and closing down during operation V. 3.22

I am running Garmin Mobile Connect on my iPhone 7+ with the latest iOS v. 11.0.2. A few days ago it began acting erratically. Initially, it would simply close down whiile I was attempting to add data or simply move from page to page. More recently, over the last couple of days the problems have increased with it freezing and not responding at all. I have to close down the app and restart it in order to get it to work. I believe that the increased problems began with the installation of 3.22, however, the involuntary quitting began before 3.22, and was unaffected by that new version. I am not sure if I need to delete the app and do a clean reinstall or if the problem is a interaction problem with the Apple iOS. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
