V02 Max Not Updating

On my new vivosport the watch gets new vo2 max readings regularly BUT on the connect app and pc dashboards the most recent activity does not update. It's a week old. The vo2 max graph from the past weeks does seem to get the latest data, only the color chart with your fitness age is not updating. Anyone else have this problem or a fix? Thanks!
  • I'm getting the same thing. Added a Vivoactive 3 a couple of weeks ago and at first the lower Vo2Max(47) it registered in Connect but none have since. In Connect on the app and the web the graph shows the Vo2Max from my FR735(54) but the gauge/dial below the graph still says 47 even though what the Vivoactive is showing on the watch is now at 50.

Are we the only one's with this issue? My problem is the same as yours: The graph of V02 max is current but the color report hasn't updated since the first time.
  • At least the only ones to notice and bring it up.
  • As an update: I had a chat session with support today about this issue. We didn't get completely to the bottom of it, my work PC rebooted because of software installing in the background I wasn't aware of, but a ticket has been opened and I gave them access to my account.

It appears what shows on the gauge is a combined number when there are multiple devices that calculate Vo2Max and they weren't sure how it was being calculated. So it is being looked at now and I'm sending them more info when I get home this evening. It was a good experience and they seemed on it so we'll see what happens after they get the data they were looking for.

Thanks for the update. I also have a ticket open. I only have one Garmin device, the Vivosport, so multiple devices can't be my issue. Like you, the V02 Max graph updates somewhat regularly (though not always daily) but the color chart of the current value has not updated since Sept. 29. I asked the support person by email if they were aware of any issue and they said no, except for me while acknowledging there could be others. Let me know how you make out and I'll do the same.
  • It'll be interesting to see if we both get the same answer. I mentioned that there was at least one other person during my chat session and later someone had brought up the same issue on the Vivoactive 3 forum. So they're aware that it's affecting more than one person.

So, I got tired of waiting for support. I deleted the app on my phone and restarted the phone to make sure all data was deleted. I then Restored defaults on my Vivosport and downloaded app again. I then set up a brand new account and paired the watch. I the did a one mile jog and got a V02 max reading last night. It appeared in the new account. Did the same today and got an updated reading in the current view, my first update in that view ever. I suspect my first account was corrupted somehow. Let me know if this works for you.

I have a garmin 235. The vo2 graph has not been updated since 10/28. I run every day with it. Is there another view to see my daily vo2 lvl?

Same here. I purchased my first Garmin device (VA3) on 3rd Nov. The first VO2max readings (47) were updated from the VA3 to Garmin Mobile (iOS) and Garmin Connect but now the most recent update on these is still at 6th Nov. As mentioned above the graphs on GM and GC update OK but the dial reading remains static at 47 from the 6th Nov. I have raised a support ticket on Friday but we'll see how long it takes to get a reply.

So today I have been on a chat session with Garmin as the HR widget on my VA3 had locked to a graph from a few days ago. The assistant asked me to reset my VA3 to factory defaults and then pair again with the mobile app. Having done this then all the steps/stairs etc on my VA3 reset to zero but the HR widget graph started working again. She assures me that when it syncs again later today the steps will accumulate correctly - if not its only one day of data missing. The interesting thing is that she seems convinced that the VO2max issue is also linked to the HR widget issue as obviously VO2 max is based on the HR data. Unfortunately I did lose the VO2 max value of 49 on my VA3 but it still appears on the graph on Garmin Mobile on my phone. The graph on Garmin Connect on my PC still shows old data.

I'll know more at the end of today /tomorrow about how the data has re-stabilized. I'll go out for a run tonight and try and reclaim my VO2max of 49 :)
