Export swim activities from Connect as .fit file

Hi everyone,

maybe I am overlooking something but it seems there is no way to export my data (all swim data, from the Garmin Swim tracker) as the original .fit file from the redesigned Connect web app.

The directions online all refer to the gear symbol on the top right of the activity page. This doesnt exist anymore I think.

Also, the cloud symbol which is now on the top right only lets you import (not export) data as far as I can see.

I contacted support and have not received an answer yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jay

(My goal is to get my swim data of the last 4 years into Apple's Health.app. The data is all in the Connect web app. (Part of it is also still in the tracker's memory). The only way I have found so far that might work is to export from Connect as .fit, import the .fit to a swim.com account, whose app can sync with the Health.app on the iPhone. The Garmin Connect app on the iPhone does not sync swim data to Health.app. If there is another way I would be happy to hear about it ;))

I just checked. On my swim activities I still have the gear icon and can export original fit files. Maybe an issue with your browser? I'm using chrome on linux.

I tried Safari and Chrome on macOS. Same result. Posted a screenshot below. Sorry all in german ;) should be self explanatory though I hope.

Anyway only option is to export a .csv. No gear icon.

    Thanks for any more ideas.

Ok I think I got it. In Safari (which I normally use, nothing happens when I click ON the activity. In Chrome the detailed view opens, including the gear icon.

Oh well who would have thought.
