Reimport Deleted Event?

I have a Garmin Edge 305, Garmin Connect, and an existing Garmin account. I just uploaded an activity and then accidentally deleted it. I've tried everyting to reimport this event which still exists on the Edge to no avail:

Deleted the device from my Garmin account and Garmin connect.
Exported the data with GPSBabel and tried to upload a TCX and a GPX.
Looked for backup files on my harddrive following old posts from 2015.

Is there no way to have my events reimported? Even just a single one that I deleted?

Have you tried adding it from Garmin Connect using the option to browse for files on the device? Isn't there a 'Transfer All' option available to force the transfer. Used to be an option on the FR305.
Another option is to try and get hold of Garmin Training Centre and use that. I think I've got a copy for Mac and there might be someone out their with a copy for Windows.
