Langlaufen

There are two activitie-types: skate-skiing and cross country skiing
Both are translated to "Langlaufen" in german.

As a user with german language I am not able to differ between them. As I do "nordic cross skating" I would like to use one of these aktivity-typs (skate-skiing) because it is the closest sport.
  • Not as far as I can see, when I experimented just now by switching the display language from English to German and back again. Cross-country skiing is translated to Langlaufen, while skate skiing is translated to Langlauf.

Thats what I see on my mobileciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1242373.png
  • This is the Garmin Connect sub-forum and not the Garmin Connect Mobile Application sub-forum. What do you see in Garmin Connect when you access the service in your browser (on your computer or your mobile device)?

In my browser it is Langlaufen and Langlauf - but in german this is the same - so we dont know what is what.

We use for example "Langlauf Klassisch" and "Lauglauf Skating"
  • As a user with german language I am not able to differ between them.

So, can I take it that you can now distinguish one from the other, even if you're operating only from your mobile device (and not a desktop or notebook computer)?

So you dont want to change the translation? Other users will have the problem either!
  • Since I don't understand German, I don't care about the translation, and I neither want nor reject changing the translation. My point was simply that you said you couldn't distinguish the two activity types, presumably in Garmin Connect, and I wanted to show you that you can indeed tell them apart in Garmin Connect (even on a mobile device).

I think I will use running instead of Langlaufen, because of the statistic-issue with "other" activities.

So it is no problem for me any longer.
