Sync Issue with 910xt following garmin express upgrade?

I haven't been able to transfer data since Friday the 21st. Keep getting problem with sync red banner. I've done the following-checked my PC to see if the files got there at all; the answer is No; asked the 910xt to send all data-this is still a fail; saw the ID on the PC folder for storage had the older 9 series watch serial # in folder title, so edited to have the correct serial # (but note this wasn't a problem before. Have had Garmin many years, so accustomed to transfer issues, but can't seem to fix this one. Ideas to try? Thanks
