Ok but the problem is that Golf is the only activity present in the main menu. Why Golf and not Swim, Run... ?
The watch knows all the activities we practice (or not). It is completely incoherent to have…
Thanks for the response. That's probably more trouble than I'm willing to go to, but I appreciate your direction.
For the love of God, please let us remove "Golf" from the Garmin Connect web interface (on the left vertical menu bar). No idea why it gets its own prominent section...I never use it and don't want to see it cluttering the choices. Searching the forums, people have been asking this same question for years and want to be able to remove it.
I applaud the recent pace of hardware releases...but can wait another month before the next watch releases if that helps divert a resource to get rid of this years-long UI frustration.
but you can remove it with a custom rule of a browser adblocker plugin such as the uBlock Origin.
Thank you!
Why I have not come to the idea sooner. I use the plugin for a long time, but have not come up with GARMIN connect.
Works great.
I don't play golf, won't play golf, and would just appreciate not having golf featured so heavily.
Yes, I realize that other people brought this up SEVEN YEARS AGO and absolutely nothing changed, but can't Garmin look at its actual user base and see that this isn't necessary? I get they make golf rangefinders too, but that's not exactly the primary business line compared to their watches and activity trackers!
unable to remove GOLF from the dash board
I have never golfed, and probably never will golf. To be honest, I barely notice it is there on Garmin Connect, as I have set up my dashboard to my liking. There is no golf on my main dashboard. It only exists on the left menu bar, which takes up a tiny amount of screen real estate. I suspect the reason it is on Garmin Connect is that many Garmin watches have golf as an activity.
many other that you can not pin them to the dashboard
Like all of them. As far as I can tell, there is no way to pin a specific activity type, golfing or otherwise. It's just "activities."
Should add a way to customize the activities!
I agree with that.
I've wondered that for the longest time. Waste of screen space and it makes no sense to single out this one sport that is probably far down the list of sports most garmin owners do to be displayed this prominently...
I completely agree and I don't understand how, after so long, Garmin didn't change this.
On my Profile settings Garmin Connect ask me about "What I Do" which should mean that if I don't activate "Golf" it shouldn't show me anything related to the sport, even less in such an important tone and with a lot of emphasis displaying two full tabs & more data.
