Use a Course I Created for Manual Activities

(This issue has got to be on this forum somewhere already, but my search of "manual activity course" didn't yield anything about my issue (and those quotation marks are for the purpose of showing what keywords I searched...I didn't enter those quotation marks in the search. And when I DID use quotation marks (not around the phrase above as-is, but ["manual activity" course]), the forum search engine seemed to disregard them anyway)).)

So I accidentally left my Forerunner 610 out of town after visiting family, but want to record the route I've run a few times since coming home on the activity in Garmin Connect. I created the course, but it doesn't give me an option to tie it to a manual activity or vice-versa. On the "Add a Manual Activity" page, there is a heading for a "Course" field, but no field. Bizarre. Am I just missing something? Surely there's a way to enter the route I ran? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You aren't in any way prevented from bringing up the manual activity after it has been created and saved, then assigning one of the courses using the Course drop-down menu.

Personally I don't see the point of doing so, but I have tested it just now and can confirm it can be done.
