speed graph missing data

My recent training data in garmin connect are not showing the speed graph data for the 1st half of the training.
My training time is usually around 1 hour but the graph time only shows about 20-30 minutes of it.
If I change the display to show the graphs over distance (which should be the default) I see that the graphs show altitude and heart rate for the whole distance but the speed data is only shown for the 2nd half of the training.
A sample of the output can be seen at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dh7efyjzv2ts89a/2017-07-06%2008_27_51-Garmin%20Connect.png?dl=0
Is that a known issue or a bug in garmin connect?

I do not have a speed sensor. My forerunner305 records all the data and after I have synced and set the garmin connect graphs to show over distance rather than over time the graphs do not show the speed information as can be seen at the given dropbox link. As speed is distance/time and all the data points are there I guess there is something wrong with the data processing in garmin connect. The total length of the training and the total training time are both correct but the speed information is just only shown for the second half of the training.
