Activity Minutes way exaggerated with HR turned off [Vivosmart HR]

Hi
I was on holiday this week and turned off heart rate monitoring to save battery. What I noticed was that, although I never had any activity minutes before (I only used Garmin to count steps, floors and HR), during this holiday week I reached more than 150 activity minutes. Which is impossible given that I was literally resting at home almost all week.
This makes me think that with HR turned off, my Garmin Vivosmart HR highly exaggerates the activity minutes. Would it be possible for Garmin support to provide some insight into how activity minutes are detected?
Has anyone noticed this happening with HR monitoring turned off? It's a bit frustrating to see a very high exaggerated activity tracking like this.

IM computed on the device, not in Connect. Thus you might find better information in the Vivosmart HR forum.

This has been discussed many times for the VAHR. The manual indicates that HR is the main source for computing IM, but when HR is not available steps are used.

Thank you for the clarification and pointing out that forum. I didn't notice that there was a forum specific for each device.
