Need to disable elevation correction

I went skydiving today and recorded it with my Fenix 3. Forgot to stop the activity at the end though, so now when I trim the file (export to .gpx, delete the last part, reupload) Garmin applies elevation correction and completely ignores that I really was 14,000 feet up in the air. Since it's a .gpx upload, Garmin won't allow me to turn off elevation correction (why not let me!!!).

Any thoughts on how I can either get Garmin Connect to use the elevation in the .gpx file?

I've tried trimming the file in Strava and exporting as tcx and gpx as well to no avail...
