Wondering if there is any way to change it to "Calories" instead of "Kilocalories"??
I don't know if you made a typo or not.
But to clarify, what is commonly called a Calorie in the US is actually a kilocalorie based on the definition of a calorie. But in common usage the "kilo" is dropped.
The problem here is kilojoules a completely different set of units.
I have this issue too. As much as I'd love to have chewed through 13,000 calories a day bouncing around Glastonbury Festival :p when I click through to the activity page itself it shows a more reasonable 3,000 calories:
How can Garmin have such a glaring screw-up unresolved this long? I mean this a 30 second fix to simply update with the correct calculation or pull; the correct value. What a bunch noob programmers they have!
Looks as though this now occurs on the actual page of the activity as well : Kilojoules labeled as calories
No, as far as I can see the issue has been resolved, and the Activities widget on the dashboard, the rows on the Activities page, and the summary details when reviewing an individual activity record all show the number of Calories (not kilojoules) consistently with each other. I have a CSV file exported a week ago (including both the kJ figures erroneously put under Calories by Garmin Connect, and a column I manually populated by copying-and-pasting corresponding Calories figures from individual activity records) when the problem was happening, so I can verify that what I'm seeing now are the Calories.
