Map searching others' activities in the new version (3.19) of Connect

How do we go about doing map searches for other people's activities?

The new UI doesn't make it obvious - it doesn't appear you do it from the activities link. The only searches available there are for your own activities. I'm looking for different rides/runs/routes in areas new areas, based on different factors of the activity. Where is this?

And only showing five metrics in the activity page is silly, when devices these days are so smart that they have so many available. Why reduce them on this page?

Still haven't figured out how to do an activity search for other people's routes in different areas with 3.19.

To search for other people's activities, click on the gear icon in the Activities Widget in the Dashboard and select "Find Activities" from the drop-down menu

That's what I was looking for - it just felt like it should have been found from being on the activities page too, since there's a search bar there for searching your own activities.
