I can't tell you how much I am distressed by your new system. I was happy with the old system and used it for almost a year.

I can't see my activities and your tech person was as frustrated as I.

It is so stupid to take a good system and totally ruin it.

I am now on my third Edge 1000. They have given me nothing but trouble.

Until today, I always thought that your tech support was the best. You have left your people up in the air and unable to help us.

Your management should be fired. They obviously don't know anything about running a company.

old activity filtering with mass edit and paging is still online:
    https://connect.garmin.com/minactivities
    :)

I could access the old activity page trough

    https://connect.garmin.com/minactivities

as you mentioned in the forum. But since yesterday, the link does not work anymore. What is wrong?

It worked for me fine just now. However, I don't usually use it at all. Maybe you overused your quota?
  • As of yesterday, my minactivities page errors out for me as well.

I just checked and that page does not work for me anymore, either. I would guess this means that Garmin is pulling the old page.

I started to use the old version this week for a few times. But since yesterday morning, I can't access it anymore. I tried to access it from another pc, it did not work either. It`s not the pc, it's not the internet connection, this works without a problem. Also the new version works without any problem. But with the old, I always get the error message:

    error
Unfortunately, an error seems to have occurred.
    And what now?

    Refresh this page.
Click the browser's Back button and try to resume the action.
Return to this page in a few minutes.
    Contact the customer support.

I don't know where the problem is.

In the old version of garmin connect, I could choose a column with the total amount of steps during an activity. In the new version, I can't find this option. Is there in the new version also a way to get a column with the total amount of steps during an activity?
  • For Activities in Garmin Connect, I found both the multi-page format and the infinite scroll format annoying. The multi-page format simply had too few entries per page, and I was using the button for next page a lot. In principle, you would think I would like infinite scroll. Well, what happens is this: I scroll down a lot to find older entries. I click on one and review the data. When I'm done with that data, I might want to look at a workout near the same date, but not the prior or next workout. So, what do I do? I click the browser's "back" button. What do I get? The Activities page as if I had not done all that scrolling.

Suggestion 1: Go back to multi-page, but allow me to set how many items will be on one page.
Suggestion 2: Keep infinite scroll, when I click an activity, open it in a new tab. Or do something to preserve where I was.
Suggestion 3: Allow me to enter a date range.

I haven't seen this yet on Garmin Connect, but one thing I've seen with infinite scroll elsewhere is that it can use a lot of memory and slow my computer when I scroll back far.

If you are going to keep infinite scroll, please allow use of the "page up" and "page down" keys. Some of us like keyboards better than mice. It is nice to be able to chose.

I don't know about anyone else but that would just be a middle mouse button click on the link here to open it in a new tab

Thanks for the tip. It's one I didn't know about.

However, I don't always remember I need to open in a new tab.

Then you go back to populating the infinite-scroll list of activities from scratch, if you choose to return to it. It's not the end of the world if you forget, and ideally you'll learn to remember soon enough because your action makes your subjective user experience better.
