I can't tell you how much I am distressed by your new system. I was happy with the old system and used it for almost a year.

I can't see my activities and your tech person was as frustrated as I.

It is so stupid to take a good system and totally ruin it.

I am now on my third Edge 1000. They have given me nothing but trouble.

Until today, I always thought that your tech support was the best. You have left your people up in the air and unable to help us.

Your management should be fired. They obviously don't know anything about running a company.

There is NO WAY to do this.

    (I miss this feature too.)

That sucks! Thanks for letting me know though.

    Awesome, thanks Phil :)
  • Maybe you should respond after have checked things???

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Agree totally. I like the new layout. Much easier to get around and cleaner look. Haven't had the time to fully check out the functionality but first looking at and editing activities was nice and easy.

A cosmetic operation! They did that before and then forgot to include the text search field. Now they reintroduced that but filters and the sorting of the columns are now only available after slecting a sportgenre.
  • Where do you come from? Obviously you don't know what you're talking about!

Firstly it is GARMIN. Learn how to spell.

Secondly what's with all these 1-post users complaining all of a sudden. Where did you all come from?!

Thirdly the update rocks. Spend more time using your devices to get better and less time complaining on forums.

    1. I don't like typo's but it's nothing compared to what Garmin succeeds to do: PR's are wiped, max. speed has decimal point in the wrong place; maybe even more.

2 These people were just able to work with Garmin (cause there's always something the matter with that brand, unfortunately as with all esp. major brands), have a look at how fast new devices need firmware upgrading, how often GC is down, how GC makes a mess of exporting to csv just to name some.

    3. What have devices to do with the website? Except that in the price they cost there is an amount for GC. But the shareholders want a better profit so the company limits the budget and hires students to maintain that.
  • cause it's done by students as there is no budget.
    Is it true?
  • A cosmetic operation! Dropping most, yes most! of the functionality.

Well, then, to prove your point perhaps you should start articulating all the distinct items of functionality in Garmin Connect 3.18, including (but not limited to) the ones you don't use, or dislike, or simply think is unimportant, and then identify which items have been dropped from Garmin Connect 3.19. That way, we can see whether you have a valid claim.

If you only care about ten pieces of functionality and GC dropped nine of them, but then there are also forty other pieces of functionality you know of and GC only dropped fifteen of them, it still wouldn't constitute “most” logically or semantically.
  • Garmin Connect Activities List

I am disappointed at the limitations in the new updated activities display. I regularly sorted my list by courses to make comparisons, and now the course is not listed. I also don't like the new limitations in the number of metrics displayed in the list. I liked being able to scroll through all of them, not just a few. I see that I edit which ones to see, but have to replace rather than add. Please include course as a metrics and sort feature. I tried typing in the my course name in the search box but that did not work. I can see updating features, but you should not eliminate features without consulting users.
  • Likes and Dislikes

I have been a religious Garmin user since 2010 and have seen plenty of good and bad. Currently using vivosmart HR+ which is probably my 8th different Garmin device.

What I like about the update:

    - Brings back Activity search by name (but that functionality used to exist)
    - Filter bar at the top of Activities
    - It does look better

    What I don't like:

    - Quick Edit is gone! I log 4 runs and 2 strength training sessions per week. Once a week it would only take a minute to update each activity name and type and event type. Now I have to do them individually and can do two of them on the main screen but have to go into the activity to update the event type. Quick Edit was easy to use on my iPad as well. Not only is the current process longer, it's next to impossible to do on a mobile device.
    - 5 column limitation

This past weekend I did the unthinkable and picked up the Apple Watch Series 2 since it was on sale. I'm slowly going to try to ween myself off Garmin after too many changes and problems with their devices. Not sure the AW will solve everything but feel like I've turned into a grumpy old Garmin user who complains about everything and am ready for something new.

Why on my dashboard the Swimming Goal and Rowing Goal read wrong. Swimming has 88,000 miles and Rowing has482,803 miles. Swimming should be 50 miles and Rowing should be 300 miles. Everything else seems to be ok. Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it.
