I can't tell you how much I am distressed by your new system. I was happy with the old system and used it for almost a year.

I can't see my activities and your tech person was as frustrated as I.

It is so stupid to take a good system and totally ruin it.

I am now on my third Edge 1000. They have given me nothing but trouble.

Until today, I always thought that your tech support was the best. You have left your people up in the air and unable to help us.

Your management should be fired. They obviously don't know anything about running a company.
  • tell me why I can't change the activity type from my default "running" designation to walking, kayaking, biking etc. I could do it easily up to and including June 15th but not today the 17th using the new format.

I'm guessing the change you are referring to is when you are viewing the activities in list view from a full page of activities. Fair enough, but if you open the activity from the activities widget (where I usually open mine anyway), or open the activity, you can make the change there.

It's a different way of doing things.
  • ...have to change 400+ activities

I wonder how many people have to make changes of that scale? After all, changes can be made after upload.

That apart, was it ever possible to change large numbers of activities after bulk import?
  • The new version of Garmin Connect is horrible!

    Here some of the reasons...

    1. The option "Walking" missing from Activity List
    2. Only 5 statistic columns for activities. Before was 12+
    3. Missing the option to add "Steps" column statistic for a running activity
    4. Only 5 activities shows on the screen and then you must scrolling for others. Scrolling is bad idea too. Before was more than 15 activities shows without need scrolling.
    5. There is no advanced search on "all activities" section. Only at specified activities (running, swimming, etc)
    6. There is no "mass edit" option at activity list.

And one strange bug issue. I was looking the personal records of one other user. When i return to my profile, my personal steps records of DAY, WEEK, MONTH, replaced by the records of that user. Now i have false steps records from 2015, and the funny story is that i joined Garmin Connect 2 months before.

Is there any possibility to fix any of them?
  • I believe someone else reported something like this on Day 1.
    It really should be tweaked.
  • These changes can only be done if you open the activity in full screen mode.

That is patently untrue. You can also change the Activity Type via the drop-down in the Activities widget on the dashboard to something completely different.

I still see up to 20 activities per page (as was the case in Garmin Connect online 3.18 and earlier).

    Agreed!
    The new version is rubbish!

In activities I can see only 5 categories. Previously I could see everything! Time, distance, course, average speed, average pulse, maximum pulse, hight gain, height loss etc.....

Give us the old version back and fire every idiot working with stupid updates! Obviously they are not runners themselves.

Totally agree. Why would you introduce an update with less features. It should more in addition to what was there previously. I can't filter activities by course etc...

Mass updating of names, activity type, event type... gone?

See garmin has updated the interface. Is there any way of mass updating the names, activity type and event type? Used to be you could update it like a spreadsheet. Or is this a case of garmin removing useful features again.

Also and/or, any way to pre-program custom events on the garmin vivosmart hr? Only reason I need the mass updating is because every activity I do ends up being "other". If I could pre-program I could add all my usual activities and just select them on the watch.

Actually, now that it's a new week for me, it's a bit worse than my previous post.

I guess that you have a screen bigger than 26 inches, right? My laptop is just 15,6 inches.

    Yes.

My laptop is just 15,6 inches.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a far smaller screen than that, and I can still see more than five activities at a glance without scrolling on the new Activities page, in either portrait or landscape mode.
