Garmin Connect updated? Export gone?

I mean that i can only export my own files, but i can't anymore export in gpx from friends.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean by that. For starters, I don't have friends.

With this new Garmin Connect I was unable to open and edit my session. It is there but can not be opened or reviewed. Why is there always a breakdown somewhere when Garmin "upgrades" things.

Not sure what you're seeing, or perhaps something's lost in translation, but I can open an activity (use the pencil icon) and make changes. Maybe restart your browser and/or computer. Mac OS 10.12.6b, Safari 10.1.2

The ability to export activity data from a shared activity was removed in order to comply with upcoming privacy changes. With this update only the "owner" of the activity will be able to export data from Garmin Connect.

i can't export anymore in gpx or other file, but i can save that as my course and then export the gpx,
so i get anyway the gpx, it is only take 2 more minutes...

While saving that activity as a course and then exporting is a temporary workaround for now, this ability will likely be removed in the near future in order to comply with the upcoming privacy changes.
