I had two pool swims and one open water swim each longer than 1.5km and none of my personal records for swimming got recorded. Walking, running and cycling records are recorded correctly. Please help.

I'll confirm this; the 920XT is not supported, despite (like the Fenix 3) having a dedicated swim mode. Frustrating, but I'm hopeful that Garmin will update at some point...or I'll just have to get a new watch. :P
Is this still the case that the fenix 3 will not record personal swimming records?
Yes, records, to be shown on Garmin Connect, in the system that is used today, must be supported by the firmware of the watch. And since Fenix 3 is a three generations old watch, I'd tell that it is not very likely that the programmers would spend their time on reprogramming, testing, and deploying new firmware for it.
