Changes Needed for Garmin Connect - Do you agree?

1. Garmin connect mobile has way to much stuff. We need the ability to select only what we use. I don't know about you, but I don't golf.

1a. - Garmin connect mobile navigation is a mess.

1b - Garmin connect mobile colors are too dark.

2. We need the ability to edit our screens for the Garmin devices we own using our phones. Let us edit our watches and 820 bike computers using our phone or computer!

3. Garmin connect website - full screen data - make this a default option - tired of having to click this all the time

4. I don't use half the stuff on garmin connect website - seems like its geared more for the average consumer and not athletes anymore. Remember the old Garmin website?

While I may be critical of the app, it does do a lot of things pretty good. Uploading recent workouts or sending workouts to the devices has been spot on.
I just feel like Garmin has paid more attention to the average consumer to capture the market and crammed a bunch of that in the app to appease everyone. I have ony a few things I want thats it. As an athlete, using the app is a pain in my rear. Just my 2. I do appreciate the development team and their efforts.
  • No, I do not agree.

    Well, you asked.

We need the ability to select only what we use. I don't know about you,

‘We’ do not need such a feature, any more than one needs to get an off-the-rack T-shirt altered before he can wear it for running (and get the benefit of being clothed and covered). Of course a tailored thing is better functionally and/or aesthetically, but that's about convenience and vanity, not need.

    but I don't golf.

I don't either. So what? I don't eat coleslaw or sauerkraut, but I've never felt imposed or infringed upon seeing it on a menu that was handed to me.

Garmin connect mobile navigation is a mess.

I can find my way around it just fine.

Garmin connect mobile colors are too dark.

I can read the information displayed just fine.

We need the ability to edit our screens for the Garmin devices we own using our phones.

No, ‘we’ do not. We can already satisfy the need for configuring data screens, etc. on the devices themselves. Not being happy with the limitations that we're in no position to change or remove ourselves is understandable, but allowing you to be happy with what's on offer is not a need.

Garmin connect website - full screen data - make this a default option - tired of having to click this all the time

Again, no ‘need’ for change when you already know how to get to the data functionally. You just ‘need’ to learn to control your own emotional response.

Well, yes. And we don't need Garmin devices either.

    I agree with ASmugDill!

Your "needs" are "wants" and they don't match my "wants"
