How to reactivate retired gear?

Hello,

I have retired gear (shoes) by mistake. When I realized the error, I have unretired the gear and it shows in the list of active gear again. However, it is not possible to add it to any event, it simply is not visible as an option to choose. What am I missing? How can I add the unretired gear to new activities?

In the gear page there should be a little hour glass symbol at the top, tap that to reinstate retired gear.

Did you ever find an answer to this? I have the exact same issue and have tried unsuccessfully to add the un-retired gear to an activity from my phone and tablet (using garmin connect app) and garmin connect website. No joy :'-(
