Triathlon activity not lap on finish

Hi all,
For my first Triathlon, I've do a mistake : at the finish line, I stop the activity without lap to cleanly close session. My activity looks like good but I can't save it in tcx file.
Do you have any idea ?
My activity is here

You did nothing wrong. Pressing the stop button at finish line of a triathlon is the correct thing to do.

Yes, I have an idea. Garmin Connect does not support multisport export to tcx.
  • Not sure at all that's the best thing to do...
I've just try triathlon activity. When I press Lap button at the end, the watch show "triathlon activity finished". I don't see that. So I think my activity file is not in a good state.
  • I always end my multisport activities with the start/stop button and never had any issues with it. The "Triathlon activity finished" is probably there to make you aware, that the multisport actvitiy is over and there is no further stage coming. With the start/stop button this message is not necessary as you obviously make a concious decision to end the activity.

Anyway, feel free to make some tests with ending triathlon with the lap button, and see if it makes any difference in terms of GC export to TCX. My guess is it makes no difference.

By the way, it is perfectly ok to end a multisport activity prematurely, before finishing the last stage, like for example during the bike leg of a triathlon (for example because you had a bike failure and are unable to continue the race). The only way to do it is to press the start/stop button (lap button won't do, because it will advance you to the next stage). An activity ended this way will be properly saved on the watch and properly displayed in GC.
  • OK thanks for your explanation.

In fact, I'm trying to do a strava import with fit file. It show me only running session. I think that swim and cycling activities will be imported by the file.
