Personal Record wildly innacurate

This past weekend I ran a marathon and I finally got around to looking at the race on garmin connect mobile. the only thing is that I see is that there is a new record for my 5k, 10k and half time. I was shooting for a 5hr time and... well got hurt in the second half so I wildly missed it. but I hit my targets/goals in my first half to do the 5hr marathon, i.e. a 2:33 half and a 1:10 10k. my 5 k was a bit fast at 30 mins but....

the records app is thinking I did at some point a 11:27 5k (which is of course a world record) and a 57:47 10k. it also detected a half time of 2;16, which isn't too far off my best, but it still is.

I was wondering if I was missing something with how the records app works

I was analyzing the data in excel, my pace was never better than 4:30/km between any two trackpoints.
  • Did you confirm that the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon personal records are all from the same timed activity?

Clicking on the name of the activity in each entry in the table should lead you to the corresponding activity record, so don't just rely on the name and the date listed.
