How do I see my weekly steps???

I have set my start of my week to Sunday. I want to see how many steps I did last week. Or the week before. Or any specific week.

I want to be able to see how I'm doing at any given time against my personal weekly step goal of 84,000 steps (12,000/day). I can't find any view that shows me this. I can only see daily totals and would have to add them all up to get the progress-to-date.

I want to be able to look back on last calendar weeks and see how many steps I had during those weeks. Not 'last 7 days', not 'last 4 weeks'...those only seem to show results from the current day looking backward.

Am I missing something? I can't figure out how to get this info on my android app or on the windows site. Even the calendar report on the windows site seems to only gather information about "activities", not steps. I bought my Vivofit2 to count my steps. I'll be using a GPS device for distance activities.

  • The only way I've found is to change the computer's clock to a Saturday, and then pull the Steps report for the last four weeks to be able to see the summary of each week in Garmin Connect online.

After way too much experimentation, I've found something useful and something bothersome.

The bothersome: The 7d (seven day) and 4w (four week) view on the Android app shows total steps for those rolling intervals, as well as the total distance in miles for those rolling intervals. The report on the Garmin Connect Online does not show the distance. There is no way to see the distance other than in the "Today" dashboard widget. Unless I'm mistaken.....

The useful: The Android app, in the 12m (twelve month) view looks like it uses calendar months and shows the true monthly step total and monthly distance total for those steps. So, although I cannot find any way to do a weekly total other than looking at the Android app and adding up each daily step total and daily distance total, I can at least get a monthly total. On the Android App. Not on Garmin Connect Online.

Geez Louise. These discrepancies in operation are hard to accept.

I do appreciate the fact that the Vivofit uses a replaceable battery and doesn't need tender loving care every couple of days. I appreciate that if my band breaks, there are replacements readily available...unlike my TomTom Spark that is now in a drawer. But I wish the reports available for steps and distance were aligned with calendar days. I have been logging my weekly steps for a very long time and did not expect to have trouble doing so with the Garmin activity tracking family.
