Creating a course

I have been trying to figure out how, when creating a course, can I for example head up a road for 10km then backtrack a bit along that road and then either turn off or stop. The create a course feature will not let me at all go back along the same route unless I do a round trip, which I do not want to do. Has anyone got the solution to this? Surely it's doable and i just can't figure it out.
  • If you have 'Stay on Roads' selected, deselect it. Manually make the points adjacent to the route you wish to go back on until you get to the point where you want to turn off or stop. If you want to go on down another road mark the first point on that road, recheck 'Stay on Roads' and continue. You can manually move the new points on the overlap section closer to your outbound track afterwards.
