Cannot wear tracker at work

I'm not allowed to wear a tracker at work. I can have my phone in my pocket. Will Garmin Connect count my steps during work hours?
  • Not by anything to do with your handset. If you keep the Garmin device somewhere on your person, e.g. strapped to your ankle, or inside your underwear, or in the pocket in which you keep your handset, the Garmin device may or may not count your steps accurately; you'll just have to experiment to find out. However, it is the accelerometer in the device that must supply the data in the first place.
  • What is the reason that you are not allowed to wear it

If allowed then wearing on the ankle may well work

I carry the Vivofit in my pocket at work. No problems.
