Rino vs. Alpha: recording tracks of other devices

Greetings! We have used Alpha 100s for some time and really value being able to record the tracks of multiple devices on a single unit. For example, if 4 or 5 TT15 collars are being monitored, all tracks are displayed with updates every few seconds and all tracks are recorded on the Alpha. Likewise, they can be recorded for other Alphas that are paired as Contacts using the buddy tracking feature. After some time, we upgraded to Rino 755ts, assuming incorrectly that they had this same basic functionality and more. For a customer unfamiliar with them, they seem to be more advanced based on how they are marketed, and the fact that they are currently supported in the family of devices working with Connect. After trying the new Rinos, we've been disheartened to see that it's not possible to view regular (e.g. 1 pt for 2.5 second) tracks of other users, or record those tracks. Polling the locations of other devices happens only when a message or voice communication is transmitted, or polling is manually requested. It's not possible to receive position updates automatically at regular intervals as on the Alpha 100. Why is that? Any chance it will be possible a future version? We had hoped to use the Rinos for some public safety applications, but only receiving location updates from others when requested manually just won't work in that context. We need the ability to save and / or process the tracks of others in order to quantify how the tracks of different devices are interacting with one another. The 'buddy tracking' feature of Alpha works fine for this more or less as is. However, that device is marketed specifically for dog hunting, rather than something more generic that could be used for a variety of location sharing needs. Thanks for any insights anyone can provide on why the Rino lacks the functionality of the Alpha would be helpful. Thanks!
