Garmin connect data mirgrated???!?!! need help to PUT IT BACK

My iOS app logged me out and said "my data is being migrated to China data center" and now the app and the website are both LOCKED OUT for me for an undetermined amount of time.


Firstly, I *NEVER* asked for ANY DATA migration!

Second, there is NO TIMELINE given, I could be locked out for weeks!

Third, even the website now redirects to a garmin.cn domain! I can't even switch anything back, and the login is in a redirect loop, so I get NOTHING.

PLEASE, someone at garmin, PUT THINGS BACK.

    I also have the same issue, i.e. for the last week my Garmin will no longer connect to Strava. I have several friends, who like me also live in China, who have the same issue.Really really frustrating...

    Problem Solved! Finger crossed

    I sent an email to the Garmin support (I guess China DC support) here [email][email protected][/email] and they helped me to restore back to WW account. I now can get back what I used to have before my data moved to China DC. Just still missing the recent week's data and I am told they will come back later.

    Thanks for the advice AlvinYeung . I have successfully contacted the e-mail address you provided and my account is being returned to the WW centre. Its not working yet but believe it will shortly.

    Problem solved

    I contacted Garmin at the posted email address [email][email protected][/email] and within 20 minutes I got a reply from them informing me the data had already been switched back to worldwide servers. Thanks everybody in this thread for the helpful information.

    I have been in contact with Garmin support via email for almost 4 weeks now and still no one has helped me fix this problem. It is getting beyond ridiculous now.

    Attached is a PDF with instructions for changing the region for your Garmin Connect account so that the data will upload to the World Wide server. Ensure that you change region setting for Garmin Connect Mobile and in Garmin Express. This will ensrue that all of your data syncs to the correct server.

    If you have switched your region and still havning trouble uploading, accessing the Connect IQ store, or syncing to 3rd party websites (Strava, Training Peaks, etc.) post in this thread so this can be addressed.

    SpikeDing Please send and email to [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL] and we will be able to get your data migrated back to the WW server. Once migrated back you will be able to use the instructions in the PDF to ensure that you are accessing the correct server to view your data.

    I contact [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL] but the guy response the email refuse to migrate my data!
    Just can not imagine this could happen!
    Anything I can do on this?

    I am also having the same problem. Bought my original Garmin watch while living in China. I'm now living in New Zealand and have just bought a 645 Music. Unfortunately, I'm still using the China server. When I go to challenges I only see Chinese users. Also I can't add Facebook or Google contacts. I also can't sync with MapMyRun. I would like my data to be migrated to the WW server.
