How to remove daily steps

Hi,

For some reason Garmin Connect registered that I burned over 40.000 cal in one day walking exactly 0 k. See: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/daily-summary/b_walrave/2016-07-17/activities. I do not even own (or have owned) a device that can count my steps. Still, my figures are now completely messed up.

How can I manually remove those entries?

Thank you!

Regards,

Björn Walrave
  • You can't remove steps from Connect. Clearly, if you have no device that counts steps, it is an issue in Connect, and you can try if Garmin Support can delete those steps for you.

If there is a "download original" option (right top of the page under an icon depicting a cog), you could have a look at the contents of the FIT file(s) that contain that data with the FITCSV tool contained in the FIT SDK. It won't help removing the data, but may reveal how it got there (there is a tiny chance that a corrupted activity file from your device was wrongly recognized as an activity-monitoring-file.. but it is a really really slim chance).
