PR disappears

Hello,

The last 2 times I gained a new PR (40k cycling), it disappeared as soon as I refresh the page.

What I did :
- Accepted the new record from the Personal Records page.
- Added some details to my ride : notes, title, type, course, gear.
- Refreshed the page : the PR trophy icon has disappeared and the PR is indeed removed from the PR page

Anyone else having the same issue ?

I did *not* edit the activity, only added details, as mentioned above.

It's frustrating to have to add the PR manually and correct its value since my ride was longer than 40k...
  • I noticed my records disappear when I change activity type from "running" to "street running" (or anything else). So when - for example - you change your activity type from "cycling" to "road cycling", then your records are gone.
  • Interesting!

I'm pretty sure it used to work correctly as I've always changed my runs and rides to "street running" and "road cycling".

    Another bug to fix !
  • One more thing to consider:

    1. Last year I completed an ultra-marathon, which resulted in a "farthest run" PR. I changed the activity type from "running" to "trail running" and the record is still there.

    2. This year I completed a half-marathon which resulted in multiple PRs, including fastest 1 km, fastest mile, fastest 5 km, and fastest 21 km. I changed the activity type from "running" to "street running" and the records disappeared (I had to delete the activity from garmin connect and re-upload it to recover the PRs).

What is different between those two situations (in one case it preserved the PR, in the other it did not) is that I used different devices for the runs. The ultra race I ran with my old FR310XT. It does not have the PR feature, meaning that any PRs are calculated by the Garmin Connect platform. The half-marathon on the other hand I ran with my new FR735XT. It has the PR feature, meaning that PRs are calculated "on the go" by the watch, and then transfered to Garmin Connect.

So my theory is that depending on the method the PR was calculated (either by the watch or by the Garmin Connect platform), the PR might or might not be preserved upon changing activity type.

    PB missing

Yes I have PB's on my watch (Finix 3 sapphire HR) but they are not shown in Garmin connect now 5km / 10km longest run however the 1km and 1mile are shown, I have also noticed that badges are not being added after winning challenges and that the goal's are not being updated either, starting to wonder if it is worth while to use Garmin connect if I should just use endomondo instead...

Any one having the sames issues?
