Activities Will Not Upload...?

Having an issue with my Fenix 5x since last week. Activities record fine on the watch. They will not sync via Bluetooth to Connect Mobile (Though everything else -- steps, heart rate, etc -- does, and I get notifications on my watch from my phone, so I know the connection is fine.)

They also will not sync via WiFi. For some reason it has never "auto synced" since I got the watch, but I have manually selected "connect to WiFi," and while it says it is uploading data, no activities show.

They will, however, sync if I connect the watch via USB to my computer and use Garmin Express to pull the activities off. This is kind of a pain.

It's super weird. I've tried updating the watch software from 2.90 to the Beta 3.22 to see if that would remedy it, but it did not. I've tried removing all of the activities from the folder on the watch and then trying again, but to no avail. I can't see any logs in any of the folders on the device, and I don't see any error messages when trying to upload via bluetooth or WiFi. The only thing I haven't tried yet is a factory reset, which I'd like to avoid if possible unless that's the only option.

Anyone have any ideas?
  • Actually the activities are uploading, it's the LINK that is missing.

If you select MORE and the bottom right of the My Day screen, then select ALL ACTIVITES, and do a bit of scrolling you'll find your missing activities. Another way to find them is use the center Calendar button on the My Day screen then select the date you want to see the activities for.

What is broken is the software patch that increases the count for the days activities on the My Day screen and the screen that button links to. What I have observed is that in a completely random fashion the days activities count will increase or NOT and if NOT you'll find the link on the today's activities screen is completely missing.

Garmin and anyone who works for Garmin, PLEASE ROLL BACK CONNECT MOBILE TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION ! ! ! ! ! !. Because it has become quite clear in just 3 days the latest version of Connect Mobile is a Bug Ridden Mess. Not only are the links to Activities not being added correctly but the Average Stride Length is MIA. BTW, Stride Length is probably the single most critical Running Metric in existence and also the oldest Running Metric.
  • More Weirdness

    Interesting.

Today my activity (a walk) uploaded fine -- the only difference was that I hadn't downloaded heart rate data from my HRM Tri first. Now I guess I need to run another experiment where I actually wear the thing and try uploading without downloading the HRM Tri data (which I've been having another problem with -- it doesn't download the heart rate data by default: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?374949-Wrist-Heart-Rate-Auto-Not-Working)

    *sigh*

This has become a big pain.

    There must be a bug...

I don't understand how it should work.
    - Walk was uploaded/synced (but I don't know over Wifi or Bluetooth)
    - Ride with HRM Tri don't uploaded/synced till Garmin Express over USB (2 times)

The Garmin Connect APP on Windows10 mobile also have some problems....
    - one button to reload
    - one button to sync
    What is the difference?

When I open Connect IQ-Apps, the most time it is blank.
When I syncing and then opening the Connect IQ-App at the same time, the app is loading the apps....
