Avg Stride Length-FIXED!

I have a forerunner 235 and the "Avg Stride Length" stat used to be presented under "Running Dynamics". This stat has disappeared in my latest run (run yesterday on 5/4). Is this a one-time blip or is this now a thing?

Lost Average Stride Length ~ FR235

I lost "Average Stride Length" around May 5th too, kind of thought that my foot pod needed a battery but now I'll have to wait and see if Garmin has an update. Of which when I uploaded today's run I also received an update so my FR235 is now running software rev. 7.30.

Tomorrow's run will tell the story.
  • I have average stride length using 920
  • I guess a pertinent question is whether those of us using FR630 and FR920XT would still see Avg Stride Length if we didn't use a chest strap (that supports Running Dynamics), foot pod, etc. but relied on the internal accelerometer to determine cadence while running.

    Using a foot pod

While my FR235 does have an internal accelerometer for cadence, I do use a foot pod (and a Tempe). So I'm optimistic that the rev 7.30 update that I "just" did will bring average stride length back.
  • Just chiming in to say that I am down as well since May 4th. Hope there is a fix soon!
  • Here's a ‘run’ (well, actually I was strolling to where I usually start running) I recorded earlier today on my FR630, after having intentionally disabled (in the watch's menu tree) receiving data from my HRM4-Run chest strap.

  • Stride Length

I run with either a 620 or VivoactiveHR. Stride length disappeared from both as of May 5. I checked my Connections; they have the same condition.

    Not yet...... :-(

Updated my FR235 to software rev 7.30 yesterday evening, ran 3 miles today ~ still no average stride length. :-( Hope this gets fixed somehow soon, I have a big race this Saturday (Grand Rapids River Bank Run 25k) and with my recent hip surgery this is one metric that I really need to help with my rehab.
  • Stride Length data no longer showing...

Garmin Connect and the Android app are no longer showing any stride length data.

I also noticed the absence of stride length starting on 5/7/17. I emailed Garmin with no response so far (four days later). Two days ago I contacted them by chat and they acknowledged they were working on the issue and said they'd get back to me.
