Instructions on Mapping a Route with my VivoFit2 or my Garmin Forerunner 910 XT

I am hosting a Bike Ride and I want to share MY ROUTE via URL link. So I've tried this 3 or so times and no success. My actions are (vivofit2) scroll through options on my device until I hit "START", then when the route is finished, hit "STOP".

I have read in some forum entries to go to "Calendar" then that's where I find my mapped area. I don't know where to go from that tile.

I resorted to linking my GarminConnect with "MAPMYRUN.COM" and the workout/distance/time definitely link up, but my mapped data is not recorded.

One note I might add is sometimes when I'm scrolling through my options on my vivofit2 band, it occasionally stops on "SLEEP", does that mean I'm manually putting it in slep mode?

My ride is mother's day weekend and need help stat.

    Hello LeRizon,
Did you load the ride into Garmin Connect?

The vivofit 2 will be unable to provide a map of the route that was taken during an activity as that device does not have GPS. It uses acclerometers to provide pace and distance data. If you would like to view the route that was taken during an activity a device with built-in GPS will need to be used.

To answer the question about SLEEP, when the device is in that mode it is manually tracking your sleep sessions.

By load, do you mean, "SYNC, or PAIR"? Yes. However I may not be loading in the same way?....What is your process when "loading ride"?

Perhaps you could tell me instructions for creating/loading a map from my other device "Forerunner 910 XT"? I got this unit specifically to map a route for this one event....

Perhaps, I could use my other device "Forerunner 910XT" to map. If so where do I find the step-by-step instructions on:
1)start to finish, beginning-to-end instructional of mapping a route from my garminconnect account
2)instructional of buttons to press start-to-finish
3)tiles/drop down menus to locating my logged informations.

Me experience with 2 devices - Garmin Express

My forerunner 910XT has GPS, and Ibought this device specifically for routing a specific ride...much appreciated.

Personal experience...Get familiar with your Garmin Express. It's the hub to download/load your different devices (and different ant+ sticks, however once everything is downloaded all you need is the one ant+ stick connection).

    1) Once you've loaded your devices and you want to map your course out (ie. GPS capable device, for me it was my Forerunner 910XT)
2)Power device on, scroll to the option "Training", press "ENTER"
3)Scroll to the option "Courses", press "ENTER" then press "START"
4)When finished with your route (basically everything you want highlighted in your hike/bike trail)hit "STOP"
5)get to your computer with downloaded software and logged into Garminconnect.com, then "SYNC" your device
6)Click on the three bars (with the dropdown/blue menu in the upper left corner, directly to the left of your "CONNECT LOGO")
7)Go to "Calendar", and select your date/time of the specific route you want to pull up, from there you can edit/review/share your info.

Thank you Garmin It's Been a good run

So my little event was successful. I appreciate everything you've done for me Garmin, you've served your purpose, but the show goes on. No need for devices any longer, and it'll be one less trinket I've got with all my belongings. Someone else will get to enjoy the benefits that you provide.
