Workout "Repeat Until Lap Button Pressed?"

I'd like to put a repeat in a workout that causes the steps to keep repeating until I press the lap button. Is that possible? I can give it an arbitrarily high number, but I don't know how to break out of the repeat unless I just hit the lap button a whole bunch of times to "fast forward."

Am I stupid and missing something obvious?
  • No, not for a custom workout in Garmin Connect that you ‘program’ to conform to a definite structure and plan, you can't.

If you want to do open-ended repeats (until you're tired of it, either physically or mentally, for the session), then you probably have to use alerts instead of intervals and custom workouts – in which case the watch will not attempt to split the timed activity (into ‘laps’) for you at the end of each step in each repetition.
  • Alas

Was hoping I was just missing something. Would like to see that feature added. Thanks for the info!
  • until I press the lap button

Do not think you can. However  I guess you can press Stop button to exit out (presuming you do not have a cool down step etc after).
