importing GPX routes to Garmin Connect

Hi,

I'd like to import GPX routes (courses) to Garmin Connect, so I can transfer them to my devices (Edge 820 and FR 735XT) via Bluetooth.
I know that it's possible to transfer these files via USB cable, but this is not an option if there's no PC at hand (and it's just inconvenient).

The routes are standard GPX files from Strava route planner, or other third party sources.

I read somewhere that it's possible to upload a route as activity and save that as a course. However this fails in Garmin Connect at the input stage (without a error message, it just hangs up and does nothing).

I think this is a basic feature and should be easily working, so am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Thanks @TrippZ for the mention. Note that routeCourse will work great on the Edge 820, but is not available on the Forerunner 735XT due to differences in Connect IQ on the two devices. Our dwMap app would be a closest to the experience you are looking for on the 735XT.

    Awesome, thanks.
