However I have noticed it is not synching the shoes to my run,
What specifically do you mean by that?
When did you complete the timed running activity in question?
When did you transfer (or ‘sync’) the saved activity record to Garmin Connect?
What is the First Use date you have set for the new pair of shoes?
As an experiment just now, I:
created a new (non-existent) pair of shoes in the Gear section
set its First Use date to two days ago
made them the default for Running
– and was prompted to confirm this new pair replaces my current setting for the default for Running
told GC to add them to all Running activities since the First Use date
– and was prompted to confirm
saved the new Gear database entry
checked my Running activity records from yesterday and the day before
– and can see both the new pair and the actual pair used were listed against each activity
manually added a new Running activity
– and can see the new pair being automatically assigned
so everything is working for me in the way I have expected.
