I'm trying to figure out how some people have set their own profile URLs. I was not presented with such an option during registration, and currently my URL is just a long string of letters and numbers. I was able to set my username on the forums, but understandably this had no effect on my Connect account. Any ideas?
Just to check, I clicked on "sign up" on the forum and saw that when signing up through the forum you're allowed the option to create a display name (I signed up through Garmin Connect). Presumably this then becomes your Garmin Connect profile URL? Do I need to create a new account through the forum in order to get a user-friendly profile URL?

EDIT: ack. So I tried creating a new account on the forum to test this out, with an old email address and a display name no one could possibly ever want. Indeed this was it; when you create an account through the forum instead of through Garmin Connect itself, the display name it allows you to choose becomes your profile URL. However, if you create an account through Garmin Connect and it doesn't allow you to select a display name, it'll generate some rubbish URL for you. I'm guessing there's no way to change the URL on Garmin Connect, so I'd have to make a new account and transfer all of my data. Will wait a bit before doing so to see if anyone chimes in with some way to change the URL on your account :P also, I've kind of used up the name I would have wanted to use for my URL by setting it as my forum display name :/
