Hi all I'm new to Garmin. Just wondering if anyone could help me?

I have a personal record set at 11miles for longest run. But week after week I run parkrun (5k run) and I haven't got a pr it just will not register. Any ideas why not? I got vivoactive set in miles but wouldn't of thought that mean anything. I can't edit anything either to set it manually.

I don't think the vívoactive (as opposed to the vívoactive‑HR) has the capability of detecting new personal records by itself, so you have to rely on Garmin Connect to detect them upon uploading activity data to it – in which case, your timed run has to be almost exactly 5.0km to be eligible for consideration as a 5K personal record.
