Hi everyone,
So I used the Microsoft Band (1 and 2) for the last two years and have gathered several hundred exercise routines (mostly walks/runs), including heart rate
data in the Microsoft Health portal which I do not wish to lose. Sadly they discontinued the product and I don't expect the portal to live very long either.
I intend to get the Garmin Fenix 5, once they start selling the thing here in OZ. Makes sense to me to have all health data in one single portal only,
so I am trying to bring my past data into the Garmin Connect fold.
So I can export each Run from the Microsoft Health portal as .gpx and .tcx files. Please see samples:

(GPX file)

(TCX file)
However, when you import them into Garmin Connect, you get quite different results depending on which source file you use.
When I use the GPX file I get Distance, Average Speed, and Max Speed (but no heart rate info nor correct category of Run).
When I use the TCX file, I get correct category of Run, Heart rate info, Calories (but no Distance, Average Speed or Max Speed).
If I import both, it does not attempt to merge the information into a single activity either.
Additionally, I also use Runtastic (running on my iPhone only - no linked HRM) at the same time because sometime I don;t get all the right GPS data on the MS band.

GPX file

TCX file
Interestingly the GPX file from Runtastic imports, no problem.
The TCX file from Runtastic does not import (throw up error on import "An error occurred with your upload.")
Any ideas on how to merge my MS GPX and TCX files to give the desired result?
Could the Garmin Connect Team support MS Health imports fully?
Thoughts please
