Website Constantly Indicating User Settings Sync

I have a Fenix 3 and every time I logon to the website it indicates that I need to sync my user settings. I have tried syncing using Garmin Express several times and all that accomplishes is a temporary clearing of the prompt. However, the next time I logon to the website the prompt is back again. Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing this? If it is not normal how do I make it stop? If it is normal, what is changing that needs to be synced over and over?

I have attached a screenshot to show what I am referring to just in case I wasn't clear.

I was just getting ready to ask the same question.

Sometime I have 3 waiting for the VAHR. User settings, Step Goal, and one other.
And on my Edge 500 2, Time zone map update and user setting.

Last night I uploaded from the VAHR and it trigger user settings update in both devices.

Resynced the VAHR and cleared those.
Then uploaded the Edge and then indicated that the VAHR had changes in User Settings.

And this morning I uploaded the VAHR and it indicated that the Edge had updates.
And it also "still" showed updates for the VAHR or maybe it was because the upload of the VAHR triggered new user setting. I hit sync again and finally cleared it.

Also the time zone map never clears.

I've had that issue for months now. It's always user settings. I even logged a support ticket but it didn't bear fruit.

One thing I know is that since I weigh myself every morning, it stands to reason why my devices would show a need to sync the revised weight. TrueUp is another reason for a flag to appear. However, every time I would sync, the flag would reappear maybe 15 minutes later.

Same issue with me. I use the withings scale and weight myself so I just figured it the scale and weight that is updated but am not sure.

Same issue here for the past couple months - I have a sneaking suspicion that it has to do with my weight entry (manual via app)... that it is in a partial number due to decimal, whereas the value for weight in the User Settings is a whole number only.

So for me I am often writing in 161.5 or 161.7.... in the online user settings or on the watch it says 162. This creates a constant value mismatch in the 'sync' check.... since the values of course do not match.

Just a guess....

sure would be nice if it didn't say "install updates' constantly.... but then its just the user settings, which don't update....

Nick, at first I thought that you might have been up to something, but I just checked. I don't have a linked scale and the last value that I entered was a whole number and it has not been changed for a couple of weeks.

But I noticed something interesting today.

The VAHR has a firmware update along with several languages.

Connect showed that I had 14 items. 1 user setting for the edge, 1 for the VAHR, and 12 software updates. When I connected the VAHR it asked if I wanted to update the software, which I allowed. And then I did a sync to upload the VAHR user setting.

I disconnected the VAHR and let it update. And I checked Connect and it still showed 13 items, the Edge and 12 VAHR software.
After I reconnected the VAHR it verified that that software updates and then cleared those items.

Today, after I had updated the VAHR with the new version and language files. I decided to disconnect and then assign it to a new account so that the I would not get double counts when using also using my Edge.

Any after setting up the new account and linking I had a bunch of updates to sync. Of course it had to update all of the personal and device settings.

But after I got through with that I still have 11 items to sync. They where all language updates. The same ones that I did the day before.

No matter how much I tried resyncing and disconnect and reconnect the VAHR they would not clear.

Ended up deleting them.

Its been doing it for me too for ages. I only weigh myself about once a month so for me at least it isn't a weight change that is causing it. From what I can remember it started about the same time that I got my Fenix 3HR. I am wondering if this is some affect of all day HR recording.

For me it prompts to sync user settings for my F3HR and Edge 1000.

This issue appears to have disappeared the day after I created this post. Very strange. Hopefully this stays fixed.
